Privacy Policy

In short: Fixpage doesn't collect your data. There's no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. Your manuals, questions and jobs stay on your iPhone. They leave it only when you choose to: a question you send to Apple's Private Cloud Compute, and iCloud sync if you turn it on.
Who we are
Fixpage is made by MEDTEK KI AS, Skeibakken 30, 4306 Sandnes, Norway. Questions about privacy: support@medtekki.no.
What stays on your iPhone
The manuals you add (their PDF files and the search indexes Fixpage builds from them), your questions and their answers, your jobs, devices, measurements, photos, signatures and work orders, your markup and bookmarks, and your settings are stored on your iPhone. We have no server that receives them, and we can't see them.
Answers on your iPhone
By default, questions are answered by Apple Intelligence on your iPhone. Nothing leaves the device.
Private Cloud Compute, only when you choose it
You can choose to have a question answered by Apple's Private Cloud Compute. Then your question and the passages from your manual that answer it are sent to Apple's servers to make the answer. Photos, jobs and the manual file itself aren't sent. Apple designed Private Cloud Compute so that the data is used only for your request, isn't stored, and isn't accessible to Apple or to us. The app shows which answers came from Private Cloud Compute.
iCloud sync and teams, only when you turn them on
iCloud sync is off until you turn it on in Settings. Then your manuals, devices, jobs and photos are stored in your own iCloud account so they reach your other devices, with their contents in CloudKit's encrypted fields. If you create a team, what you put in it is stored in your iCloud and shared with the people you invite; a team someone else owns is stored in theirs. We don't have access to your iCloud data. Turning sync off, or Erase All Data, never deletes your iCloud data unless you choose that.
Purchases
The trial and the unlock are bought through the App Store. Apple handles the payment; we receive no payment details and no personal information about you, only Apple's anonymous sales reports.
Camera, photos and microphone
The camera scans paper pages, reads nameplates and error codes, and takes job photos. Photos you pick are read on your iPhone. The microphone listens for voice commands such as "next" while a guide is open; speech is recognised on your iPhone and the audio isn't stored or sent anywhere.
Siri, Spotlight and Shortcuts
Fixpage makes your manuals and procedures findable in Spotlight and Siri on your iPhone. That index is kept by iOS on your device.
Crash reports
If you've chosen in iOS Settings to share analytics with app developers, Apple may send us anonymous crash reports and usage statistics. You can turn this off in Settings โ Privacy & Security โ Analytics & Improvements.
If you email us
We use your email address and what you write only to answer you, and delete it when it's no longer needed for that.
Your rights
Since we hold no personal data about you from the app, there's nothing for us to show, correct or delete. Your data is on your iPhone and in your iCloud, where you control it: Settings โ Erase All Data removes everything Fixpage keeps on your iPhone. Under the GDPR you may also complain to Datatilsynet, the Norwegian Data Protection Authority.
Children
Fixpage is a tool for technicians and isn't directed at children.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and its date.
